Day XVII: The Crucible of Choice

Father, You are so merciful and loving. You love us when we don't even deserve your love and grace. Jesus died the most painful death for the sins of this world. He followed your will when it was too much to bear. Father, I want to be reconciled to you and follow your will -- even when it is excruciatingly hard and my will desires otherwise. You came to save those who were broken -- you were and are the light of this world. I desire to draw nearer to you and shine your light before men. Continually refine me: humble me, use me, mold me in your image. Amen.
